How to install 5fifi Flow on Windows

It takes about a minute. You download one file, unzip it, and open the app. The first time You run it, Windows may show a blue “Windows protected your PC” screen. That is normal for a small independent app, and this guide shows You how to open it safely.

1. Download

Download the .zip that matches Your PC:

• 64-bit (x64): almost every Windows PC. Choose this if You are not sure.
• ARM64: only for ARM devices such as Snapdragon-based Surface or Copilot+ PCs.

2. Unzip

Right-click the downloaded .zip file, choose Extract All…, then Extract.

When it finishes You will see two items:

1. a folder named 5fifi Flow (the app lives inside this folder);
2. a text file named HOW TO INSTALL - Read Me First.txt, a short welcome note that links back to this page. You do not need it to install; read it whenever You like.

3. Open the app

Open the 5fifi Flow folder and double-click 5fifiFlow.exe.

4. Get past “Windows protected your PC”

The first time only, Windows SmartScreen may show a blue screen that says “Windows protected your PC.” This appears because 5fifi Flow is not yet signed with a paid Microsoft publisher certificate, not because anything is wrong. To open it:

1. Click More info.
2. Click Run anyway.

Windows remembers this choice, so You will not see the screen again on later launches.

5. That’s it

5fifi Flow starts and its icon appears near the clock, in the system tray (click the ^ arrow if You do not see it). Start typing and You will hear it.

No permission pop-up. Unlike on a Mac, Windows does not ask You to grant any “accessibility” or “input monitoring” access. There is nothing extra to click.

Your privacy. 5fifi Flow listens for key and click events only, so it can play a sound at the right moment. It does not record, store, or send what You type. Read more about Your privacy →
