How to install 5fifi Flow on your Macbook

Thanks for downloading 5fifi Flow! Since I’m not part of Apple’s paid Developer Program ($99/year, money I’d rather put toward keeping this app free), macOS will show a warning the first time you open it. That’s normal, expected, and doesn’t mean anything is wrong. Here’s exactly how to get past it, in under a minute.

1. Download and open the file

Download 5fifiFlow.dmg, then double-click it once it’s finished. A window will open showing the 5fifi Flow icon next to an Applications folder shortcut.

2. Drag 5fifi Flow into Applications

Drag the 5fifi Flow icon onto the Applications shortcut. This copies the app to your Applications folder, which is where it needs to live for permissions and Launch at Login to work correctly later.

3. Open it from Applications

Go to your Applications folder and double-click 5fifi Flow. You’ll likely see a message like:

This is macOS being cautious about apps that aren’t notarized through Apple’s paid program, not a sign that anything is actually wrong. Click Done (or OK) to dismiss it, then continue to the next step.

4. Allow it in System Settings

• Click Apple icon
• Open System Settings → Privacy & Security.
• Scroll down to the Security section. You’ll see a message saying

“5fifi Flow” was blocked to protect your Mac, with an Open Anyway button next to it.

• Click Open Anyway.
• Enter your Mac password (or use Touch ID) if asked.
• One more confirmation dialog may appear, click Open.

5fifi Flow will now launch, and macOS remembers this choice. You won’t see this warning again for future launches.

5. Grant Accessibility access

5fifi Flow needs Accessibility access to hear keystrokes and clicks system-wide so it can play sounds.
